What is Kids Can Sew & Fashion Design?

The Kids Can Sew® & Fashion Design curriculum consist of easy to follow kids sewing patterns, instructions, and directions organized into Student Pattern Packets. These Student Pattern Packets contain a workbook of sewing instructions and full and multi sized clothing patterns. Our curriculum is geared toward younger children both girls and boys age six through twelve. In addition we offer pattern packets for teens, and adults.
What are the sewing projects in the Kids Can Sew® & Fashion Design Student Pattern Packets - Curriculum?
Projects consist of a wide variety of clothing projects. These projects are designed in such a way that the students learn fashion design techniques and methods geared to the student’s age. For example: Students may be taught how to add a ruffle to the Skirt Pattern, which completely changes the look of the particular pattern to a different and NEW fun design. Projects include some of the following to equal dozens upon dozens of fabulously fun fashions; Pants, Shorts, Capri’s, Blouses, Tops, Shirts, Jumpers, Sweat Pants, Dresses, Nightwear, Lounge Wear, Sweat Shirts, Exercise Wear, Nightshirts, Gathered Blouses, Gathered Skirts, Gathered Nightgowns. Our curriculum can keep a student busy for several years, then because of the thorough knowledge and skills learned in a Kids Can Sew® & Fashion Design classroom students will have the appropriate background to move into the 'store purchased’ commercial patterns.

There are dozens of projects we can do. Here are just a small sampling.
